Italian Language courses

Director: Ms Roberta Guzzardi

Contacts:

The Education Department of the Consulate General of London is in charge of coordinating and supervising Italian language and culture courses, and all the related initiatives, for the Consular areas of London and Edinburgh. To this aim, it supports schools interested in introducing our language in their curriculum. The courses, offered during school and extra school time, are addressed to students from Y1 to Y13. The aim is to make our culture and language known and appreciated by the widest possible audience. The courses are taught by experts and qualified Italian teachers, partly selected by the Ministry of Education and Research, among teachers of state schools in Italy, and partly recruited in the UK by the three “Enti Gestori”, No Profit organizations recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and partners of the Italian Consulate: the "SIAL" "Italian School in London", the "CDLCI" in Manchester and “il Girotondo” in Edinburgh.

If this is of interest, please feel free to contact us to discuss further or to provide any additional information you might want. We would be more than happy to offer to your school this exceptional opportunity.

Finally, in London you can find the "Italian School in London". SIAL is a full-time bilingual and bicurricular Italian and English School with Early Year Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) and Primary School.

SIAL is fully recognised by the Italian Ministry for Education as well as by the British Department for Education governments.

SIAL is also an officially approved Examination centre for the CILS exams (University of Siena in Italy). All those who wish to take the Italian language certification exams, including for Italian citizenship (B1 Cittadinanza), can contact enquiries@scuolaitalianalondra.org  for further information.
