Certificato_Penale

To obtain a “Certificato Penale” or a “Certificato dei Carichi Pendenti”  from the relevant Italian authorities, you need to contact the Procura della Repubblica (Public Prosecutor’s Office) of the court under which jurisdiction the town where you reside/resided in Italy falls.

This Consulate General does not forward requests for the above certificates by Italian or non-Italian citizens, whether residing or not in the consular district.

The request can be submitted to the relevant court either directly or through a person you specifically authorise to act on your behalf.

To verify the exact fees to pay for the issue of the above certificates, please visit http://www.giustizia.it/giustizia/it/mg_3_3_3.wp?tab=d.

For the legalisation of the above certificates you need to refer to the same court that issued them and request that they apostille the certificates.

For a translation of the above certificates into English,  the interested parties can go to Notary Department of the Consulate General, located at 136 Buckingham Palace Road, between 9am  and 12 noon, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, provided there are no convictions or proceedings against them.
