WHAT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A PC, A SCANNER OR A PRINTER? POSTAL A.I.R.E. PROCEDURES

If you do not have access to a PC, a scanner or a printer, you may send the needed documentation by post (Special Delivery) to this Consulate General (Consulate General of Italy, "Harp House", 83/86 Farringdon Street EC4A 4BL London), and sign a “dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione” (the signature does not need to be authenticated). 

The  processing time will however be longer than if you use the online application.

DO NOT send the above documentation by email.

IMPORTANT: failure to complete all the mandatory fields of the online form or to upload the documentation required will result in your AIRE registration application being put on hold, thus interrupting the processing time as laid out by law. In particular:

A.I.R.E. Registration

The Declaration should clearly state:

Your Name
Surname
Date of birth
Place of birth
Country of birth
(for those born not in Italy) Italian “comune” (town hall) where the birth certificate has been registered
Marital status
Qualification (Secondary School, University etc.)
Occupation
Any other citizenzhip
Father’s name
Mother’s name and maiden surmane
Telephone number
Email address
UK address (with full post code)
Date of arrival in the consular district
Contry and town where you last resided
Italian “comune” (town hall) where you last resided (if applicable)
Italian “comune” (town hall) where you resided / are registered in the electoral lists

The applicant should then attach copy of his/her Italian ID Card or Passport and a proof of residence (Council Tax, utilities, bank statement etc). IMPORTANT: The same information will need to be provided also for the SPOUSE and any CHILDREN LIVING AT THE SAME ADDRESS.

EACH family member over 18 living at the same address must also sign their own “dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione” (declaration in lieu of certificates) and for EACH family member living at the same address a copy of their passport or identity card will need to be attached, in addition to that of the applicant.
