IMPORTANT: the original certificate <strong>must remain in the Archives<\/strong> of this Consulate. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Therefore it will not be returned<\/span>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paper Apostille <\/strong>on the birth certificate\u00a0(or <strong>consular legalisation <\/strong>for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Countries that are not signatories to the 1961 Hague Convention &#8211; <\/span><strong>*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS);<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Translation<\/strong> of the birth certificate into Italian \u2013 the Apostille does not need to be translated (*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Photocopy of the passports<\/strong> or valid identity documents of the parents and the minor (if already available);<\/li>\n<li>If available, <strong>photocopy of previous identity documents<\/strong> of the Italian parent issued during their period of residence in Italy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proof of residential address. <\/strong>In the event that this has recently changed, proceed with the communication in <a href=\"https:\/\/serviziconsolari.esteri.it\/ScoFE\/index.sco\">Fast It<\/a> and<strong> attach a copy of the request submitted.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additionally<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 Other documentation proving the absence of foreign citizenship<br \/>\nSelf-declarations regarding the lack of foreign citizenship will not be considered valid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of additional documentation<\/strong><br \/>\n(We recommend that it include all complete details of the individual concerned, such as full name, any other names\/surnames used, date and place of birth, and, if applicable, date of death).<br \/>\nNote: The Consulate may deem it necessary to request further documentation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>For the United Kingdom:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<strong>Share code<\/strong> (obtainable from the Gov.uk website) for parent(s) holding pre-settled status or UK visa (residence, work, etc.);<\/p>\n<p><strong>plus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022\u00a0<strong>Official declaration<\/strong>\u00a0confirming the right to vote\u00a0<strong>exclusively in local elections<\/strong>, issued by the local Council in original form, legalized with Apostille (see Box TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS), or sent by email by the Council to the applicant and copied to statocivile.londra@esteri.it<br \/>\n<strong>Self-declarations<\/strong> regarding the lack of foreign citizenship <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">will not be considered valid<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>or<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022\u00a0<strong>Certificate of Non-Naturalization<\/strong>\u00a0issued by the Home Office UK Border Agency for those who have resided in the UK s<strong>ince 01\/10\/1986.<\/strong>\u00a0If the individual resided in the UK prior to that date, a<strong>\u00a0certificate of non-naturalization issued by The National Archives<\/strong> must also be submitted. This certificate must be duly legalized\/apostilled and translated into Italian (*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For other countries:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022\u00a0<strong>Certificate of Non-Naturalization<\/strong>\u00a0issued by the competent authorities of the foreign country of emigration, certifying that the Italian individual\u00a0<strong>never acquired citizenship of that country<\/strong>. This certificate must be duly legalized\/apostilled and translated into Italian (*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS).<br \/>\nIf the individual has resided in\u00a0<strong>multiple countries<\/strong>\u00a0(e.g., Argentina, Brazil, United Kingdom) for a period sufficient to acquire citizenship through naturalization under local laws, certificates of non-naturalization or naturalization must be provided\u00a0<strong>for each relevant country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>(IF APPLICABLE \u2013 In case foreign citizenship was acquired after the minor\u2019s birth, a notarised photocopy of the Certificate of Naturalization issued by the competent authorities of the foreign country.
