IMPORTANT: the original certificate must remain in the Archives of this Consulate. <strong>Therefore it will not be returned<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paper Apostille <\/strong>on the birth certificate\u00a0(or <strong>consular legalisation <\/strong>for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Countries that are not signatories to the 1961 Hague Convention &#8211; <\/span><strong>*<\/strong>SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Translation of the birth certificate into Italian<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the Apostille does not need to be translated (*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Photocopy of the parents\u2019 passports<\/strong>\u00a0or valid identity documents;<\/li>\n<li>If available,\u00a0<strong>photocopy of previous identity documents<\/strong>\u00a0of the Italian parent issued during their period of residence in Italy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proof of residential address. <\/strong>In the event that this has recently changed, proceed with the communication in <a href=\"https:\/\/serviziconsolari.esteri.it\/ScoFE\/index.sco\">Fast It<\/a> and<strong> attach a copy of the request submitted.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Other documentation\u00a0<strong>proving that the minor does not possess (and is not entitled to acquire) another citizenship<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Self-declarations regarding the lack of another citizenship will not be considered valid.<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of additional documentation<\/strong><br \/>\n(We recommend that it include all complete details of the individual concerned, such as full name, any other names\/surnames used, date and place of birth, and, if applicable, date of death).<br \/>\n<u>Note: The Consulate may deem it necessary to request further documentation.<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the United Kingdom:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Share code<\/strong> (obtainable from the Gov.uk website) for parent(s) holding pre-settled status or UK visa (residence, work, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For other countries:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 <strong>Certificate of Non-Naturalization<\/strong> issued by the competent authorities of the foreign country of emigration, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">certifying that the parent never acquired citizenship of that country.<\/span> This certificate must be duly legalized\/apostilled and translated into Italian (*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS).<br \/>\nIf the individual has resided in multiple countries (e.g., Argentina, Brazil, United Kingdom) for a period sufficient to acquire citizenship through naturalization under local laws, certificates of non-naturalization or naturalization m<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ust be provided for each relevant country.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><!--StartFragment --><strong>Document certifying any loss or renunciation of birth citizenship or of any other citizenship<\/strong>, issued by the competent Authorities of the foreign country of emigration. This document must be duly legalized\/apostilled and duly translated with a translation into Italian ( SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Consulate will carry out the necessary checks on the declarations made in the Self-declaration form by verifying the information with the relevant Municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">processing time of the application also depends on the response times of the Municipalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> <strong>Only if Case 1 does not apply<\/strong>, the application may be submitted under one of the two following cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Application for registration of the birth certificate\u00a0(MODUL-ONE 1), duly completed and signed by both parents; Self-declaration form, pursuant to Presidential Decree 445\/2000, for each parent,\u00a0 duly completed and signed; Minor\u2019s birth certificate (for the United Kingdom: full birth certificate or certified copy of an entry of birth), duly legalized (*SEE BOX TRANSLATIONS AND LEGALIZATIONS).
