{"id":1943,"date":"2022-08-31T14:14:04","date_gmt":"2022-08-31T12:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conslondra.esteri.it\/?page_id=1943"},"modified":"2022-11-07T16:04:43","modified_gmt":"2022-11-07T15:04:43","slug":"titoli-accademici-di-terzo-livello","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conslondra.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino\/istruzione\/dichiarazioni-di-valore\/titoli-accademici-di-terzo-livello\/","title":{"rendered":"3rd Cycle (FHEQ)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>3rd Cycle (FHEQ):<\/u><\/strong> Doctoral Degrees (e.g., PhD, DPhil, EdD)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check if your university or college can award a degree on this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/check-university-award-degree\">https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/check-university-award-degree<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All applicants must include the <a href=\"https:\/\/conslondra.esteri.it\/en\/chi-siamo\/la-sede\/modulistica\/modulistica-titoli-di-studio\/\"><strong>application form<\/strong><\/a> duly completed and signed together with a <strong>copy of a valid identity document<\/strong> (passport or national identity card) and the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Verified and certified copy<\/strong> of the original Degree Certificate <strong>legalised<\/strong> by means of an Apostille through the Foreign, Development and Commonwealth Office. <strong>The verification and certification must be carried out only by a \u201cNotary Public\u201d<\/strong>(see <strong>note<\/strong> below);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Translation <\/strong>of the \u201cdegree certificate\u201d carried out by the applicant or by a third party.<br \/>\nIn the email that this office will send from <a href=\"mailto:scuole.londra@esteri.it\">scuole.londra@esteri.it<\/a> with the bank transfer instructions and the exact fees to pay we may request the translation of the \u201cdegree certificate\u201d in Word format should corrections need to be made.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Original<\/strong> Letter of the University or a <strong>verified and certified copy of it legalised<\/strong> by means of the Foreign, Development and Commonwealth Office apostille.<br \/>\nThe letter must include: name, surname, date of birth, course duration, mode of attendance (full or part time) and must specify the qualification on the basis of which they were admitted to the PhD academic programme (bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree, Italian degree or equivalent) and the university that awarded it.<\/li>\n<li>A plain A4 self-addressed envelope (unpadded) for the return of the DV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We confirm that we will return any original documents (letters or any other original document) and attach the DV is the verified and certified copy legalised by means of the FCDO apostille of your degree and the certified translation of the degree \u201cas a bound set\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>1<sup>st<\/sup> step<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A\u00a0certified and verified copy of the original document (Degree, A-level Certificates, Diploma Supplement, Letter from the University etc.) can only be obtained exclusively through a UK-based \u201cNotary Public\u201d. The \u201cNotary Public\u201d can act as a verifying authority and confirm the validity of UK educational or professional documents. Verification is the process of ensuring the original documents are genuine by checking with the awarding institutions (universities, colleges, schools, exam boards). An example of a notary statement is: <em>\u201cI certify that the qualification is genuine and authentic and I have carried out the verification with the awarding body\/Institution\/University\u201d. <\/em>The above notary statement can be in English or in Italian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>2<sup>nd<\/sup> step<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the verified and certified copy of the original document has been obtained, it must be sent to the Legalisation Office of the Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO) to be legalised by means of an apostille, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/get-document-legalised\">https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/get-document-legalised<\/a>.\u00a0Legalisation is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a public document is genuine. The \u201cLegalisation Office\u201d of the FCDO is the only authority that issues apostille stamps for holders of UK degrees\/certificates. However, the Notary can assist the interested party in obtaining the apostille and can also send the documents to be legalised to the FCDO Legalisation Office on your behalf.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please note that the above services (<u>verified and certified copy<\/u> of the original degree\/qualification\/letter and <u>the legalisation<\/u>) are offered by third parties that operate independently of this Consulate General.
