A FAMILY TORN APART<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>General Giuseppe Garibaldi is a hero; the famous and revered \u2018freedom fighter\u2019, who unified a fragmented Italy, championed the underdog and those suffering from oppression and disadvantage. His love of nature and the elements instilled in him the spirit of adventure which drove him to speak out for human equality and dignity. Yet whilst he unified a country, he abandoned his family to seek comfort in the arms of other women to fill the void of losing his beloved wife Anita.
