Emergency number

Assistance to Italian citizens for proven emergencies:

  • Consulate General Emergency Number 044 (0) 7850 752 895 available on Mondays to Fridays from 6pm to 10pm; Weekends and public holidays: from 9am to 10pm.

Calls for ordinary consular matters (passports, visas etc.) will not be taken into consideration.

  • On-Duty Officer of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation 0039 06 3691 2666, for all other times of the day.

In case of a real emergency, the on-duty officer of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will promptly contact the officer of the Consulate General of Italy in London.

In the event of serious accidents, acute health risks or physical harm and whenever an ambulance, a police attendant or a fire brigade are required, please call the British emergency number 999 immediately.

Domestic abuse: how to get help

If you are in immediate danger, call 999 and ask for the police.

If you can’t speak and are calling on a mobile press 55 to have your call transferred to the police.

Free, confidential support and advice is available to victims and their concerned family members or friends, 24 hours a day.
