On Sunday, 1 November 2026, at 11:15 a.m., the annual ceremony to honour the Italian fallen of the First and Second World Wars will take place at Brookwood Military Cemetery, in the section dedicated to Italian graves.
The ceremony will be attended by H.E. the Ambassador of Italy Fabio Cassese, Defence Attaché Major General Massimiliano Mongillo, Acting Consul General Rossella Gentile, and other civil and military authorities.
As usual, the programme will include the laying of wreaths, the celebration of Mass and a tribute to the fallen. The ceremony is expected to conclude by 1:00 p.m.
Members of the Italian community are warmly invited to attend.
Brookwood Military Cemetery is located approximately 40 km from central London and can be reached by train from Waterloo Station. Those travelling by car can find further information at:

The Consulate General will provide free coach transport to the cemetery from the following pick-up points:
- Kettering-Bedford
- London-Clerkenwell
- Worthing

Those travelling independently are advised to arrive in good time and, in any case, no later than 10:45 a.m.
