Dear Citizens,
We are pleased to note the interest and appreciation sparked by the launch of some initiatives aimed at facilitating access to passport services for certain categories of people. We have also read your comments on our social media profiles, to which we always respond. Many of you have suggested creating a similar channel for people with disabilities.
Citizens with disabilities can come for passport renewal from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 12:00 by presenting a valid medical certificate of permanent disability.
CONSULATE ACCESS PROCEDURES
- From Monday to Friday between 09:00-12:00, without appointment.
Please read here for access procedures and prohibited items in the Consulate.
- You have to present a valid medical certificate of permanent disability;
- The applicant must be registered with AIRE in the London Consular district;
- The birth certificate must have already been registered with the Consulate or with the Town Hall in Italy.
PASSPORT ISSUANCE
- The passport is normally issued the same day unless any problem prevents the issue of the passport.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
- British debit card (we do not accept contactless payment, credit card, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Check the correct amount on our website at the Consular fees.
CHECKLIST
You need to come to the counter with the relevant forms already completed. Please note that if the documentation is incomplete or incorrect your application will be rejected.
- Original valid medical certificate of permanent disability;
- British debit card (WE DO NOT ACCEPT CONTACTLESS PAYMENT, CREDIT CARD, AMEX, APPLE PAY, GOOGLE PAY). Check the correct amount on our website at the Consular fees;
- MOD1 application form (for adults) or MOD2 application form (for minors between 12 and 17 years of age or MOD3 application form (for minors between 0 to 12 years of age;
- Nr. 3 recent identical passport-size photos (taken within six months) compliant with the international ICAO standards (white background only);
- Previous original passport, expired or deteriorated or, if this is your first italian passport, national ID card or other original passport. Driving licence or Oyster card are not accepted;
- In case of lost / stolen passport, pelase provide a British Police online report and the relevant Italian lost/stolen passport form DEN1
- In case of passport expired more than 10 years ago or you cannot be identified from the photo, please provide other valid original foreign passport or italian ID card (driving licence or Oyster card are not accepted).
