The Consulate of Italy in Manchester will open to the public on Monday 18th July. In order to ensure a smooth transfer of the files of approximately 110,000 Italian nationals residing in the new consular district from the London Consular database to the Manchester Consular database, on Friday 15th July it will be necessary to carry out some IT operations involving the main applications used by the consular offices. Those necessary operations will considerably reduce the operational activities of the London Consulate General.

Therefore, all the appointments for that day have already been rescheduled. The appointments for passport issue/renewal are confirmed, however customers will need to come to the appointment with a £ 98.10 postal order made payable to “Italian Consulate General” and a prepaid Special Delivery envelope (up to 500g – please make sure the stamp is not the printed version and has not been date-stamped) for posting your new passport and your old cancelled passport. Passport applications will be processed and the relevant passports will be sent to customers’ addresses in the days immediately following the appointment.

For the same reason on that day it will not be possible to issue emergency passports, but only Emergency Travel Documents.

Moreover, the FASTI IT and Prenot@mi portals will not be working on Friday 15th July. Full functionality of the applications will be restored at the latest by Sunday 17th July.
