The Italian Consulate in London does not have jurisdiction to transmit these death certificates, even if the deceased had interests in Italy, such as real estate.
In such cases, family members must contact the Tax Office of the Municipality where the property is located to obtain further information and to verify the documentation required for registering the death in Italy. This includes at least the original death certificate “Certified Copy of an Entry of Death” issued by the competent Registry office and a sworn translation (TRADUZIONE ASSEVERATA) issued by an Italian Court.
