If you live outside London, you may apply for a passport through one of our Honorary Consuls instead of applying in person at the Italian Consulate General in London.

What services can our Honorary Consuls offer?
Aiming at providing our citizens with more efficient and fast services, the Consulate General of Italy in London is strengthening the network of Honorary offices around the Country. Some of them are equipped with a kit for capture of finger prints and therefore can receive passport applications. All Italian nationals living outside London are strongly encouraged to apply there.
Our Honorary Consuls have only been equipped with software to collect biometric data (fingerprints). They are not able to issue a passport. Your new passport will be posted back to you approximately after 5 weeks of receipt of your application.
Our Honorary Consuls can only accept your application if you are registered with the Italian Consulate in London (A.I.R.E or Anagrafe Italiani Residenti all’Estero).
